GUM ‘GAZ’
Gamay, Harcourt
2024

From the sandy, granitic slopes of Mt. Alexander - these organically grown 50 year old vines were grafted to gamay over the last decade.

Due to the immaculate quality of this fruit - 100% whole bunch gamay was fermented and elevaged in stainless steel with a very small inclusion of shiraz/syrah pressings.

Fresh and energetic, this is an aerial example of the variety with floral and herbaceous aromatics. Crunchy, bright red and cool blue fruits are supported by fine lacy structure.

This fragrant and expressive wine is drinking immediately well though will also reward careful cellaring.
